The watch features a very light and extremely durable 48mm matte finished black ceramic case, titanium case back with the Top Gun insignia in color, matte black dial with bold white painted Arabic Numeral hour markers, white printed minute/hour track with luminous 12,3,6 and 9 markers, and black rimmed hands with luminous fill. The sophisticated, IWC-manufactured 51614-calibre 62 jewel movement with high-performance Pellaton winding system builds up a 7-day power reserve and drives multiple complications including: perpetual calendar with displays for the date, day and month, double moon phases for the northern and southern hemispheres, four-digit year display which takes into account all the leap years in the Gregorian calendar until the year 2100, central hacking seconds hand and power reserve display. All of the displays can be easily adjusted with the crown and advance automatically. This watch is one of the most complex pilot's watches built, and would be an excellent addition to any fine watch collection.
