Kieselstein-Cord (1994) "Women of the World" Solid 18K Yellow Gold 1.5" Wide Cuff Bracelet W/Original Bergdorf Goodman Box (Comes W/$90,000 Appraisal) - This spectacular piece was masterfully crafted of solid 18k yellow gold by world renowned jeweler Barry Kieselstein-Cord. This piece made its debut in 1994 as part of the designer's "Women of the World" collection which has been highly sought after by collectors around the globe since its inception. While you can rarely find the steel and yellow gold link bracelets from this collection, this particular solid 18k yellow gold cuff almost never comes available and through extensive research, this is the only one we have been able to find available today. The piece is brilliantly decorated in high relief with the faces of beautiful and poised women against a dense background of geometrical motifs, exuding strength, dignity and sophistication. The piece also has a luxurious matte finish, the designer's signature rich green hued yellow gold and an ornately interior with pierced geometrical patterns, alluding to the master craftsmanship which is synonymous with the Kieselstein-Cord name. This incredibly rare design has been featured in a collection of the MET Museum (Accession Number: 1995.380.2), and is truly an investment worthy piece. The bracelet measures a massive 1.5" wide and has an incredibly heavy and luxurious feel. It also has double hinged ends allowing the piece to easily be put on and taken off. The bracelet is signed "B. Kieselstein Cord", dated "1994" and also bears hallmarks for the gold purity "750" and the signature moon and star hallmark, and measures approximately 6.5" in inner circumference. The piece will come housed in the original Bergdorf Goodman box. Kieselstein-Cord was founded 1972 by photographer Berry Kieselstein-Cord. The designer has worked with Calvin Klein and Perry Ellis, and has been collected by Eric Clapton, Sir Elton John, Karl Lagerfeld, and many more. His work is in the permanent collections of The Louvre, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and others. The brand has been featured in publications such as Elle, Forbes, and Vogue, and has been featured on "Sex in the City", "Law & Order", and others. (WEIGHT: 334.5 grams) Please note: This piece comes with a $90,000 insurance valuation report in the winning bidder's name by a graduate appraiser.
