Est. $65,000-$70,000 Hermes 35cm Birkin Bag in Poussiere Porosus Alligator Leather W/Gold Hardware in Box W/Clochette, Lock & Keys, Raincoat & Dust Bag - This exquisite bag was made by highly trained artisans at Hermes. This is the iconic and instantly recognizable Birkin bag, and is constructed of the coveted Porosus alligator leather which is often lauded as the most precious of the brand's exotic skins. The leather is characterized by its symmetrical scale patterning as well as by the subtle circumflex symbol stamped in gold beside the Hermes logo. The handbag is in the Poussiere beige color which is perfect for any season or ensemble. Inspired by icon, Jane Birkin, the Hermes Birkin is one of the most desired handbags in the world. Similar to the Hermes Kelly, it is crafted by one highly trained artisan, and every piece of leather and hardware is greatly scrutinized to ensure perfection. The bag measures 13.75"W x 9.8"H x 7"D, and has a 4" handle drop. The bag is finished with gold hardware, including the front toggle closure. The interior is lined with beige chevre and has one zip pocket with an Hermes engraved zipper pull and an open pocket on the opposite side. The bag is in absolutely beautiful condition with little signs of use, and will come in the Hermes box with the clochette, lock and (2) keys, raincoat and dust cover. The bag has the L blind stamp for 2008. Birkins outperformed both gold and the S&P 500 stocks over the past 35 years with an annual return of 14.2%, compared with gold's 1.5% and stocks' 8.7%.
