James Dean was the essence of cool, and essence which is passed on to this beautiful, working instrument with a unique history. This is one of only two of these models, which were built by legendary guitar builders Glen Morgan Guitars. "Jim" Dean played high school basketball as well as performed in theatrical productions. This hollow body, telecaster style guitar has a maple and walnut body, a maple neck, and a wood top made from Fairmount High School wood. The wood was saved by a lifetime resident of Fairmount, Indiana and James Dean historian upon the demolition of the high school before they were eventually sold to Glen Morgan of Glen Morgan Guitars.
