Est. $15,000-$20,000 Marilyn Monroe's Personally Owned T. Anthony Large Suitcase W/COA - This large T. Anthony suitcase was personally owned and used by Marilyn Monroe. The suitcase has an oblong plaque engraved "T. Anthony Madison Ave. at 66th St. New York" at the top, and is constructed of a heavy board frame covered with black cloth on the exterior, stiched white leather trim and handles, and brass lock plates and closures. The interior is lined with black silk damask lining and has a large compartment with a pair of steel braces (that likely housed a suitcase divider). The suitcase will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from University Archives signed by John Reznikoff, who is a premier authenticator for both PSA and JSA along with numerous auction houses. The trunk will also come with a copy of a previous auction invoice and Christie's lot tag attached. Measurements: 36" x 22" x 12.5".
