Est. $6,500-$8,000 Elvis Presley's 1958 Teddy Bear Donated to March of Dimes Charity Auction W/Button & LOA - This teddy bear was part of Elvis Presley's personal collection before it was donated to a charity auction to benefit the March of Dimes. Elvis was known to be a great humanitarian who actively supported many causes in a variety of ways such as donations, photo shoots and performances. This teddy bear was kept by Elvis until he donated it (along with others from his collection) for the March of Dimes charity auction to take place on January 20, 1958. Elvis was about to start his duty with the United States Army, and donated the bears after being visited at Graceland by former March of Dimes poster child Mary Kosloski on his 23rd birthday. Elvis and Mary were photographed on the stairs at Graceland surrounded by the teddy bears which were being donated for the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis' upcoming March of Dimes fundraiser. The bear will be accompanied by a March of Dimes pinback button which measures 4" in diameter, along with a letter of authenticity.
