Paloma Picasso 1989 29.00ctw Amethyst & Solid 18K Yellow Gold 2.25" Convertible Drop Ear Clips (Comes W/$16,000 Appraisal) - These incredibly rare vintage ear clips were designed for Tiffany & Co. Italy by renowned designer Paloma Picasso. Paloma Picasso is the daughter of Pablo Picasso and Francoise Gilot, and is a true artist in her own right, celebrated for her boldly original style. As the daughter of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Paloma brings a uniquely artistic point of view to her jewelry designs for Tiffany & Co. These now retired earrings were finely crafted of solid 18k yellow gold and have a leaf-shaped motif which hoists a 14.50ct (approximate) genuine pear cut amethyst. The earrings have a versatile convertible design as the amethysts can be removed from the earrings and the yellow gold earrings can be worn alone, showing the excellent attention to detail which is synonymous with the Tiffany brand. The back of each earring is signed "T&C 18KT Italy" and "Paloma Picasso" along with the date "1989". These earrings have clip on backs and can be worn whether you have pierced ears or not. These are unaltered, original vintage Tiffany pieces, however we can have posts added by a master jeweler at the buyer's expense if they so choose. They measure 2.25" in length, or 1.25" with the amethysts detached.
