The jade is a lovely transparent "near white with light green and faint lavender" color, and shows no indications of chemical treatment according to the accompanying Gemstone Report from the Nan Yang Gemological Institute. The pendant measures 2"L x 0.6"W, and has a vibrant 18K yellow gold bale. The pendant will be accompanied by the original Gemstone Report from NGI. This piece has excellent investment potential, as the price for fine-quality jadeite has risen dramatically along with China's economic rise and the demand has significantly outpaced the supply of this rare material. Weight of piece 15.5 grams, the approximate weight of the jade itself is 76ct. This piece will come with a $28,000 insurance valuation report in the winning bidder's name.
