Est. $16,500-$18,000 Paul McCartney Signed Fender Squier Stratocaster Electric Guitar W/LOA - This vintage Fender Squier Stratocaster electric guitar has a cream finish, double cutaway body, maple neck with skunk-stripe routing, 21 fret fingerboard with dot inlays, three pickups, selector switch, three rotary controls, tremolo bridge/tailblock and white pickguard, and is signed on the body in blue felt pen by legendary musician Paul McCartney. McCartney is one of the most successful composers and performers of all time, as he is an 18-time Grammy Award winner and a two-time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame both as a member of the Beatles and as a solo artist. McCartney has written or co-written 32 songs that have reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and as of 2009 he had 25.5 million RIAA-certified units in the United States. A majority of signed guitars are signed on the pickguard, meaning that the guitar wasn't necessarily present when the signature was obtained and making this an incredibly important piece as it is actually signed on the body meaning McCartney actually held this guitar in his hand and signed it. The guitar was previously sold at auction in 2001, and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Perry Cox, who is the author of "The Official Price Guide to the Beatles Records & Memorabilia" and has over 30 years experience in the study of Beatles memorabilia.
