Est. $15,000-$16,500 Paul McCartney's Personal Copy of "Please Please Me" Debut Beatles Album W/Original MPL Mailing Envelope & (2) LOAs - This iconic piece of rock n' roll memorabilia was Paul McCartney's personal copy of The Beatles' debut album, "Please Please Me." This is truly the ultimate Beatles album, as is the earliest version with Dick James publishing credits and proper MT tax code on the Side 2 label. This was McCartney's personal Gold Parlophone copy of the album, which was sent in its original Emitex lined innersleeve without an album cover. The album was contributed to a charity auction in 1985, and will be accompanied by a letter from McCartney's production company MPL which was sent to a Ms. Angie Rutherford along with the album and a photo for her charity auction. The album will also come with a second letter from Jeffrey Gold of Recordmecca further verifying its authenticity. The album is in excellent condition, and will come with the original MPL mailing envelope and innersleeve. Early and personal Beatles albums are incredibly rare, and are highly sought after by collectors around the globe. In 2008, an early pressing of the Beatles' "White Album" numbered "0000005" (The Beatles members were given copies 1-4) sold for over $30,000, and in 2015 Ringo Starr's personal copy of the album sold for a world record $790,000.
