The iconic jacket is completely embellished with black sequins, has an ornately beaded trim and an interior Bill Whitten label. These black sequin jackets were showcased during the tour along with Michael's single decorated glove and infamous moonwalk, and were worn during his performances of the award-winning song, "Billie Jean." Billie Jean is considered one of Michael Jackson's finest songs, has won two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and many other distinguished awards. This jacket was used for performing one of his finest songs during one of the most iconic tours of the decade. Michael Jackson memorabilia is some of the most collectible celebrity memorabilia in the world, and pieces attributed to Bill Whitten can be considered at the top of the tier due to the rarity and quality of the items. The jacket will be accompanied by the letter of provenance, which states that the jacket was worn during the Victory tour and used specifically for the stage performance of the song Billie Jean, and was given by Michael personally to an assistant sound technician who worked during the Victory and Bad tours.
