Est. $1,500-$2,000 Charles Manson Double Signed Personal Check Dated Aug. 22, 1969 W/JSA Authentication - This personal "Monopoly" themed check was penned in the hand of American criminal and cult leader Charles Manson. The check is dated August 22, 1969, just days after the tragic Manson family Tate-LaBianca murders on August 9th and 10th. The check is double signed, both on the pay to and signature lines, and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication. According to sources, Charles Manson never actually had a checking account for spending, as he spent most of his life in prison. These checks were obtained by collector Steve Drasil who visited Manson in prison for 15 years. Around the year 2000, Drasil created a legitimate checking account in Manson's name and these checks were obtained and were brought to Manson and filled out for memorabilia purposes before the account was quickly shut down.
