Est. $1,000-$1,250 William Shatner Signed Star Trek Comic Book W/Beckett Witnessed Authentication - This "Star Trek New Visions: The Survival Equation" comic book was signed by actor William Shatner, who portrayed Captain James Tiberius "Jim" Kirk during the filming of the American science fiction television series Star Trek (The Original Series). The series first aired on NBC from September 8, 1966 to June 3, 1969, and several years later became a bona fide hit in broadcast syndication, remaining so throughout the 1970s. The series achieved cult classic status and a developing influence on popular culture, and eventually spawned a franchise, consisting of six additional television series, thirteen feature films, numerous books, games and toys. It is now widely considered one of the most popular and influential television series of all time. The comic book is signed by Shatner in blue ink along with a "Capt. Kirk" inscription, and the signing was personally witnessed by a Beckett representative on January 29, 2019. The piece will come with a certificate of authenticity from Beckett along with a tamper-evident sticker on the book itself.
