Est. $310,000-$315,000 Tiffany & Co. 3.67ct No Heat Kashmir Sapphire W/AGL Report, 6.00ctw VS1-VS2/F-G Diamond & Solid Platinum Brooch Designed by Jean Schlumberger (Comes W/$310,000 Appraisal) - This stunning mid-century brooch was designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. The brooch was finely crafted of solid platinum, and boasts an incredible 3.67ct AGL certified Kashmir sapphire. The sapphire is an elegant square cushion cut, and displays a stunning vivid velvety blue color and shows "no gemological evidence of heat" according to the AGL report. This magnificent piece is also embellished with approx. 6.00ctw genuine VS1-VS2/F-G brilliant round cut diamonds, which are fiery white and finish the piece flawlessly. This piece is truly of the highest investment quality, as it was designed by a highly regarded and sought after designer and contains an incredibly rare sapphire. Kashmir Sapphires are the most famous sapphires in the world, and are almost never seen, except in museums or photographs. They are so highly valued and sought after due to their superb cornflower blue color and a sleepy quality that is often described as "blue velvet". These incredible gemstones almost never come on the open market, and when they do they sell for well into the thousands of dollars per carat. In addition, these vintage designer pieces have proven to hold their value and appreciate more than most other jewelry pieces, as they are incredibly difficult to find and highly sought after by collectors around the globe. This is truly a once in a lifetime, museum and archive worthy work of art. In 2015, a similar Schlumberger for Tiffany brooch containing a 17.00ct Kashmir sapphire sold for over $1 million. The brooch measures 2" x 2.25" and is signed "Tiffany Schlumberger" on the back of the piece. The brooch will come with the AGL report for the sapphire, along with a $310,000 insurance valuation report in the winning bidder's name by a graduate appraiser. (WEIGHT: 27.3 grams)
