Est. $30,000-$35,000 Michael Jackson's Custom Black Sequin History Tour Jacket Signed to Bob Jones W/LOA From MJJ Productions - This stunning black sequin jacket was custom designed and was worn by Michael Jackson while performing on his History World Tour from 1996-1997. These black sequin jackets are incredibly rare, and are truly the epitome of Michael Jackson's infamous style. This style of jacket was typically worn by Michael during his performances of the award-winning song, "Billie Jean." Billie Jean is considered one of Michael Jackson's finest songs, has won two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and many other distinguished awards. This jacket was given by Michael Jackson to longtime publicist Bob Jones, and is signed in silver ink "To Bob Jones All my love, Michael Jackson", along with Michael's "1998 ooo" and upward arrow which he often signed with. There are a few theories about why Jackson autographed things the way he did, with the date 1998 and the "ooo" upward arrow. It is said that he began signing with "1998" in 1988, and one theory is that he had simply made a mistake, and another is that he was prophesizing his death. A more likely theory is that he believed that his career would come full circle within ten years, and that he would have accomplished all he desired by that time. The upward arrow is though to have symbolized moving forward, while the "ooo" is said to represent the complete Godhead-Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is believed that Michael Jackson was a very spiritual person, and that there was a meaning behind everything he did or said. This jacket will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from MJJ Productions signed by Bob Jones, which states in part, "This is an authentic jacket used on stage by Michael Jackson during his world tour 'History' in the year 1996-1997".
