Est. $20,000-$25,000 Elvis Presley's Custom Handmade North Beach Leather Jacket From the Estate of Dr. Elias Ghanem W/LOAs From NBL Founder, Jody Ghanem & EP Archives - This camel colored North Beach Leather jacket was hand crafted and was custom made for Elvis Presley. The jacket has a 3-button closure and two outer pockets, and a hand written inner clothing label which reads, "Hand Crafted by Articulos de Piel for NBL in Pitiquito, Sonora, Mexico" along with the size XLG. The piece was acquired from the estate of Dr. Elias Ghanem, who was Elvis' trusted Las Vegas physician. This jacket was one of many items Elvis left at Dr. Ghanem's home in the 1970s, as Elvis would often stay at the home inside the Las Vegas Country Club which was located directly behind The International Hotel (later the Las Vegas Hilton). Elvis had a record 837 consecutive performances at The International from 1969 to 1976, and often stayed in Dr. Ghanem's guest bedroom. The piece will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Dr. Ghanem's wife Jody, along with a notarized master copy of the pieces sold by Mrs. Ghanem in 2016. The piece will also be accompanied by a letter from North Beach Leather founder Bill Morgan, who designed several stage outfits for Elvis including the Emperor's suit and Mermaid outfit. The letter states that this piece was made for Elvis in the very early 1970s around the same time Elvis had several custom leather stage outfits made. The letter from Morgan also states that this particular jacket was worn by Elvis as an around town garment, and that this style was considered one of the best of the brand's 1970s "Handlaced Collection". The jacket will also be accompanied by a third letter of authenticity from "EP Archives" of Las Vegas, Nevada, indicating that the offered piece was one of the first items which Elvis purchased from NBL's Los Angeles location in the early 70s, as told by Bill Morgan.
