Est. $4,000-$5,000 Elvis Presley Framed 11" x 14" Stage Autograph Acquired by Jim Curtain W/(3) LOAs & Reference Photos (Featured in Graceland Auction) - This iconic piece is a framed, autographed 11" x 14" color photograph that was signed by Elvis Presley for one of the most well-known fans and collectors, Jim Curtain. During the 1970s, Curtain attended over 50 of Elvis' performances and even had a custom guitar made for Elvis and was called on stage during a show to present it to the King personally. This autograph will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Elvis' co-best man and Memphis Mafia member Marty Lacker, which states in part, "Because of that gesture and because Elvis himself was a generous person he would reciprocate doing things for Curtin whenever he spied him at a show." Lacker also states that on one occasion, a female fan threw an undergarment on stage at Elvis and someone (possibly Curtain) took a photo of Elvis holding the garment. Eventually Curtain got a copy of the photograph and was able to briefly see Elvis backstage at another show and had the King sign the autograph on this photo. The photo was featured in The Auction at Graceland in 2018 and will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. The autograph will also come with a third certificate from The Jim Curtin Collection and Jim Curtain Enterprises, along with (2) reference photographs. The piece (including the frame) measures 19" x 22".
