Est. $6,500-$7,500 Elvis Presley's Beige Sports Jacket Given to Personal Cook Mary Jenkins W/LOAs From Jenkins, Bud Glass & Others - This beige colored sports jacket was owned and worn by Elvis Presley during the 1970s at his Graceland home. The jacket was later given to Elvis' personal cook of 14 years, Mary Jenkins, who received many gifts from Elvis over her 14 year employment including a home in Memphis which he purchased for her. Jenkins acquired many items in 1963 when Graceland was remodeled and Elvis would at times let the cooks and maids take items home which he no longer wanted. Jenkins later gifted this coat to New York collector Mike Cannavino, who was known as an Elvis expert and would make regular appearances in the newspaper and on local radio shows because of his large collection and connections to Elvis' employees. The coat will be offered with a hand written note from Jenkins to Cannavino, along with a copy of a newspaper article which references this jacket and a reference photo of Cannavino and Jenkins. The jacket will also be accompanied by a notarized letter of affidavit from Mike Cannavino's cousin, Anthony Sidari, who was given his cousin's collection when Cannavino fell ill. The jacket will also come with a third letter from Bud Glass of The King's Ransom Museum: Personal Treasures of Elvis Presley, a multi-million dollar exhibit that has toured the world. Glass purchased Cannavino's collection from his cousins upon his passing in 2017.
