Dupont made its debut as part of the limited edition Andy Warhol collection, which featured portraits of Monroe, Elvis Presley and Warhol himself. This palladium lighter is decorated with lacquer depicting Warhol's portrait of Marilyn Monroe, and is inscribed with Warhol's frequently repeated phrase "In the future everybody will be world famous for fifteen minutes". This lighter is one of only 1964 individually numbered pieces, as Warhol first created the portrait of Monroe in 1964. This lighter is brand new, is in mint condition, and has never been fired or otherwise handled. It will come in the original packaging with paperwork and literature. Numbered 1324/1964.
