Est. $40,000-$45,000 Elvis Presley 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Cartier Edition Gifted to Doctor W/Colorado Title, Letter of Provenance, Copy of Elvis' Check & More (Original/Low Miles) - This amazing vehicle was purchased by Elvis Presley during what would be his last vacation to Vail, Colorado in 1976. Elvis purchased this 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Cartier Edition for Colorado doctor Gerald Starkey, who was the medical coordinator for the Denver Police Department. Elvis would often vacation in Colorado, and would call Denver Police Department Captain Jerry Kennedy to be the "advance party" to arrange for his crew. According to Stephen Shutts, Elvis got a rash on his face from wearing a ski mask while snowmobiling (as he would often do while in Colorado), and was introduced to Dr. Gerald Starkey by Captain Kennedy. The doctor recommended a face ointment to Elvis to help his rash, and Elvis purchased this car for the doctor as a thank you gift. The vehicle will be accompanied by the original Colorado title from 1976, along with a letter of provenance from Dr. Starkey. The car will also come with a copy of the check that Elvis wrote to the dealership dated Jan. 14, 1976 and a copy of the dealer invoice. This is truly an iconic piece of memorabilia from one of history's most well known entertainers. This vehicle gives us an inside glimpse at the life and generosity of Elvis Presley, and truly belongs in a museum or an astute collector. The vehicle is in original condition, and has a low milage of only 47,087. VIEW MORE PICTURES
