Est. $50,000-$60,000 Fast & Furious (2009) 1987 Buick Grand National "Wheelie Car" Driven by Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto) - This iconic vehicle is a 1987 Buick Grand National driven by actor Vin Diesel as he portrayed the character "Dominic Toretto" in the 2009 American action film Fast & Furious. The film marked the fourth installment of the hit Fast and the Furious franchise, and finally reunited Vin Diesel and Paul Walker for the first time since the original film was released in 2001. This Grand National is one of 8 built for the film, however this particular vehicle was built specifically for a special scene, during the opening desert hijacking scene when the vehicle is driven backwards and hops off of the ground when impacted by a semi truck. The car was referred to internally as the "wheelie" car, however the feature was more of a hop which was made possible with the modifications which added a full roll cage, fuel cell and hydraulic mounts in the back seat area for lifting rams. The Grand National has the desirable Buick turbocharged V6 engine which produces 245 horsepower and 0-60 times of less than 5 seconds. The production company's internal asset number assigned to this vehicle is "2.4", which matches the number on the picture car keylist as the "Wheelie" car.
