Est. $6,500-$7,500 Solid 14K Two-Tone Gold & 0.70ctw VS1-VS2 Argyle Pink & White Diamond Cocktail Ring W/0.70ct Oval-Cut Padparadscha Sapphire - This beautiful ring is made of solid 14k white gold, and is decorated with approx. 0.70ctw genuine VS1-VS2 Argyle pink and white diamonds. The ring is also finished with a 0.70ct oval-cut Padparadscha Sapphire, which rests at the top of the ring in a 4-prong setting. The ring contains approx. 0.50ctw genuine Argyle pink diamonds which surround the sapphire and decorate the shoulders of the ring, and is finished with approx. 0.20ctw genuine VS1-VS2/G-H diamond accents which line the outermost perimeter of the ring. The gemstones are strategically placed with the pink diamonds and sapphire set in rose gold to best display their beautiful pink colors. The ring is also decorated with millgrain details, further alluding to the fine craftsmanship of the piece. This piece has excellent investment potential, as Padparadscha Sapphires are among the rarest gems on the planet. They are strikingly beautiful and almost no other colored gemstone compares to their unique mix of pink and orange. Padparadscha sapphires may be little known to the general public, but they are treasured by gemstone connoisseurs. These stunning gemstones display a lovely, orangy-pink color with a strong saturation. Naturally colored pink diamonds are very rare and only a few are produced each year. With the exception of red diamonds, high-quality pinks are the most expensive natural diamond color in the market today. Pink diamonds are incredibly rare, and are likely to become even more scarce as the Argyle mine in Australia which provides 95% of the market's pink diamonds is scheduled to close by 2020.
