Est. $175,000-$200,000 Alfredo Milani’s 1950s Gilera 150 Testasferica Race Motorcycle (Rare) – This 1950s Gilera 150 Testasferica was previously owned by Italian Grand Prix motorcycle road racer Alfredo Milani, who ran for Gilera from 1939 to 1964. This bike is completely original, and according to our seller has run important races at the circuit of Monza. This bike is also thought to be the last one in existence, as it is thought that Giuseppe Gilera only made 20 of these motorcycles and that he personally collected all the models and withdrew the specimens and burnt them, except for this bike which remained with Gilera racer Alfredo Milani. The front fender has a plate which reads “Concessionario Alfredo Milani Moto Gilera Milano” in the colors of the Italian flag. This is the first and only motorcycle created by Mr. Gilera with a spherical head engine. This 1950s motorcycle is equipped with a Gilera tachometer and 4-cylinder engine. This amazing motorcycle is an incredibly rare and unique piece, and truly belongs in a museum. Alfredo Milani (1924-2017) was an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. His best year was in 1951 when he won two Grand Prix races and finished second to Geoff Duke in the 500cc world championship. Milani rode for the Gilera factory for his entire career. Please note: The bike was used only for track use and is not equipped with a plate.
