Est. $425,000-$450,000 29.07ct GIA Certified Color Change Alexandrite in 1.10ctw VS1-VS2/G-H Diamond & Solid Platinum Halo Style Setting (W/$450,000 Appraisal) - This stunning ring was finely crafted of solid platinum, and boasts a magnificent, GIA certified genuine 29.07ct oval-cut alexandrite. Alexandrite is an extremely rare gemstone with pleochroic (color-changing) properties when viewed from different directions. The most beautiful alexandrites also change color from daylight or fluorescent light to incandescent light due to its unusual light-absorbing properties. This lovely gemstone is "brownish green changing to orangy brown" according to the GIA report, and due to its lovely color and massive size (most Alexandrites are less than 1.00ct), this stone alone could retail for approx. $17,000 or more per carat. The alexandrite is set in a solid platinum ring, in a halo style setting containing approx. 1.10ctw genuine VS1-VS2/G-H round-cut diamonds, which also decorate the shoulders of the ring. The diamonds have a brilliant radiance about them, and finish the ring flawlessly. This ring will be accompanied by the GIA report for the alexandrite, which is dated 2018. The table of the ring measures approx. 26mm x 21mm, and the band measures approx. 3mm wide. Ring size: 6. (WEIGHT: 18.4 grams) Please note: This piece will come with a $450,000 appraisal by a graduate appraiser in the winning bidder's name for insurance purposes.
