Est. $100,000-$250,000 "The Gorilla" Zinc Coated Recycled Steel W/Gold & Silver Varnish & 24K Gold Leaf Monumental Size Sculpture by Prince Lorenzo de' Medici - This piece is a monumental size gorilla sculpture made by Prince Lorenzo de' Medici. This piece is truly spectacular, and would be an excellent investment perfect for a museum for an art collector as it is a one of a kind piece. The sculpture was made out of recycled steel, as growing up in real estate and with an engineer father, Prince Lorenzo saw many resources get wasted in the world and causing its contamination. This sculpture is made of corroded steel reinforcing bars, and then was coated in industrial zinc to preserve the sculpture from damage. Lorenzo then painted it with silver and gold varnish, covering the golden parts with 20mm thick 24 karat gold-leaf, which was custom made in Florence expressly for this artwork. This piece can be used as a garden sculpture, as it was made to withstand any temperature and weather conditions. The gorilla is actually made in such a way that ivy can be planted inside as a garden piece. The Gorilla is a massive 7' H x 7' W, and would look perfect on a rooftop pool or hotel with a light for the night and a base that moves 360°. This piece has excellent investment potential, as in recent years environmental concern has increased and the use of recycled materials in art is gaining great interest and support. This is truly a unique and invaluable, one of a kind piece created by a member of one of the most famous family names in history. This special piece was made by Prince Lorenzo de Medici, descendant and heir to one of the most famous family names in human history. The de' Medici Dynasty, which created the Italian Renaissance, symbolizes unparalleled historical contributions to art, politics, banking, cuisine, medicine, accounting, philanthropy, commerce, geography, agriculture, religion, textiles, and fashion. Prince Lorenzo is a philanthropist, international keynote speaker, television personality, chef and culinary expert, artist, and auto enthusiast, fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Russian. This piece will come with a letter of authenticity from the Prince on his personal stationery, and will also come with a full description of the piece by art curator Mariavelia Savino. Please note: this piece is located in the Dallas, Texas area and shipping will be at the expense of the buyer. The auction house can help facilitate shipping arrangements if necessary.
