Est. $18,000-$19,000 Carolus de' Medici Acrylic & Mixed Media Pop Art Portrait by Prince Lorenzo de' Medici W/Letter of Authenticity - Contemporary artist Prince Lorenzo De’ Medici, a descendent and heir to the Medici dynasty of Florence, created this exquisite artwork, which depicts Carolus de' Medici. Carolus de' Medici was the only Russian Medici family member, as his mother was Russian from Rostov-on-Don. He was bishop of the city of Prato, next to Florence in Tuscany. This painting was created with mixed media and acrylic on canvas, and contains real royal heirlooms which belonged to the Medici family. Prince Lorenzo accents his beautiful painting with a Medici crest seal coin, a Florentine Lille, an old Vatican seal and a watch from the Russian brand Raqueta, which he sealed into the painting with a resin to hold the objects in place. This painting is incredibly beautiful, and a unique, one of a kind piece. The painting has also been framed in a frame composed of 1800s paper money from Russia. In this portrait Prince Lorenzo profusely uses a gold color to represent the "Glory and the Wealth of the Medici House", as well as the main color on their emblem. This Medici Gold has been used as a Medici Crest and Nobility Symbol. The artist highlights in gold the three rings at each upper side representing the three virtues; faith, charity and hope. This elegant and exquisite painting is a Celebration of the Medici Heritage. Prince Lorenzo created this portrait of his ancestor as part of his Renaissance Contemporary Pop Collection, with inspiration from an original 1700s engraving by Giuseppe Allegrini, who created the engraving based on a drawing by Giuseppe Zocchi. The piece has been signed by Prince Lorenzo in the bottom right corner, and will come with a letter of authenticity on Prince Lorenzo's royal letterhead. Prince Lorenzo de Medici is the descendant and heir to one of the most famous family names in human history. The de' Medici Dynasty, which created the Italian Renaissance, symbolizes unparalleled historical contributions to art, politics, banking, cuisine, medicine, accounting, philanthropy, commerce, geography, agriculture, religion, textiles, and fashion. Prince Lorenzo is a philanthropist, international keynote speaker, television personality, chef and culinary expert, artist, and auto enthusiast, fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Russian. He has stated that art is his passion.
