Est. $16,000-$17,000 Clarissimo de' Medici Acrylic & Mixed Media Pop Art Portrait by Prince Lorenzo de' Medici W/Letter of Authenticity - This piece was created by contemporary artist Prince Lorenzo De’ Medici, a descendent and heir to the Medici dynasty of Florence. Prince Lorenzo created this exquisite artwork as part of his Renaissance Contemporary Pop Collection. He began his Renaissance Contemporary Pop Collection in 2014 in Rome and Florence, inspired by original Medici family portraits from his Italian Palace. This mixed media on canvas cloth insert painting is made with acrylic paint, and depicts Clarissimo de' Medici. This is a particularly special piece, as this painting represents a Medici family from the 1200s, and it is nearly impossible to find a Medici portrait from that period. Clarissimo was also the first Jewish member of the de' Medici family. In this portrait Prince Lorenzo profusely uses a gold color to represent the "Glory and the Wealth of the Medici House", as well as the main color on their emblem. This Medici Gold has been used as a Medici Crest and Nobility Symbol. The artist highlights in gold the three rings at each upper side representing the three virtues; faith, charity and hope. This elegant and exquisite painting is a Celebration of the Medici Heritage. Prince Lorenzo created this portrait of his ancestor with inspiration from an original 1700s engraving by Giuseppe Allegrini, who created the engraving based on a drawing by Giuseppe Zocchi. The piece is stamped with a red Medici seal and signed by Prince Lorenzo in the lower right corner. The painting will come with a letter of authenticity on Prince Lorenzo's royal letterhead. Measurements (approximate): 25"W x 33.5"L. Prince Lorenzo de Medici is the descendant and heir to one of the most famous family names in human history. The de' Medici Dynasty, which created the Italian Renaissance, symbolizes unparalleled historical contributions to art, politics, banking, cuisine, medicine, accounting, philanthropy, commerce, geography, agriculture, religion, textiles, and fashion. Prince Lorenzo is a philanthropist, international keynote speaker, television personality, chef and culinary expert, artist, and auto enthusiast, fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, Polish, and Russian. He has stated that art is his passion.
