Est. $84,500-$85,000 5.27ct GIA Certified Color Change Alexandrite in 1.00ctw VS1-VS2/F-G Diamond & Solid Platinum Band W/$85,000 Appraisal - This stunning ring was finely crafted of solid platinum, and boasts a beautiful, GIA certified genuine 5.27ct "octagonal modified brilliant cut" alexandrite. Alexandrite is an extremely rare gemstone with pleochroic (color-changing) properties when viewed from different directions. The most beautiful alexandrites also change color from daylight or fluorescent light to incandescent light due to its unusual light-absorbing properties. This beautiful gemstone is "yellow-green changing to yellowish brown" according to the GIA report, and due to its lovely color and larger size (most Alexandrites are less than 1.00ct), this stone alone could retail for approx. $17,000 or more per carat. The alexandrite is set in a solid platinum ring, and flanked by (2) approx. 0.50ct VS1-VS2/F-G trillion-cut diamonds. The diamonds have a brilliant radiance about them, and finish the ring flawlessly. This ring will be accompanied by the GIA report for the alexandrite, which is dated 2018. Ring size: 6.5 (WEIGHT: 6.9 grams) Please note: This piece will come with a $85,000 appraisal by a graduate appraiser in the winning bidder's name for insurance purposes.
