Est. $31,500-$32,000 2.10ct GIA Certified Mozambique (No Heat) Ruby, 1.80ctw VS2-SI1/G-H Diamond & Solid Platinum Cocktail Ring (W/$32,000 Appraisal) - This beautiful ring was finely crafted of solid platinum, and contains a 2.10ct (approximate) GIA certified oval-cut Mozambique Ruby. The ruby is a vibrant red color, and shows "no indications of heating" according to the GIA report. The ruby is surrounded by approx. 1.80ctw genuine VS2-SI1/G-H brilliant round-cut diamond accents, which create a halo around the ruby and also decorate the shoulders of the ring. This piece has excellent investment potential, as rubies can command the highest prices of any colored gemstone, and the per-carat prices of fine-quality rubies have been rising consistently, many times breaking auction records. Mozambique rubies are quite special in the gem market, as the mines are producing many larger gems that don't require heat treatment while, in comparison, recent production of Burmese rubies has been mostly in smaller sizes, with the vast majority of gems requiring heat treatment. The table of the ring measures approx. 14.5mm x 13.5mm, and the band measures approx. 6mm wide (at the widest point). This piece will be accompanied by the GIA report for the ruby. Ring size: 6.75 (WEIGHT: 7.6 grams) Please note: This piece will come with a $32,000 appraisal by a graduate appraiser in the winning bidder's name for insurance purposes.
