Est. $15,000-$17,000 Sammy Davis Jr.'s Custom Neostyle Sunglasses From the Estate of Dennis Roberts (Never Previously Offered At Auction) - These custom Neostyle sunglasses were made for Rat Pack member, Sammy Davis Jr. The glasses have a gold frame with gradient grey lenses, and have the name "Sammy" in script on each side of the frame. The glasses originally come from the estate of world famous glass maker to the stars Dennis Roberts, and have never been offered at auction. The glasses will be accompanied by a copy of the letter of authenticity from a previous employee of Roberts. Sammy Davis Jr. (1925-1990) was an American entertainer. He was primarily a dancer and singer, but also worked as an actor of stage and screen, comedian, musician, and impressionist. Davis became an overnight sensation after a nightclub performance after the 1951 Academy Awards. He starred in films like Ocean's 11, starred on Broadway, and even had his own TV variety show, The Sammy Davis Jr. Show. He has won the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and an Emmy Award, and was nominated for many others. He earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960, and in 2017 he was inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame for being "the Greatest Entertainer in the World" according to the founder of the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame, Lamont "ShowBoat" Robinson.
