The glasses were made by Sir Winston Eyewear, and have a white plastic frame with light blue prescription lenses. The glasses originally come from the estate of world famous glass maker to the stars Dennis Roberts, who was known for making glasses for Elton John, among many other stars. They have never been offered at auction, and will be accompanied by a copy of the letter of authenticity from a former employee of Roberts. Elton John (born March 25, 1947) is an English singer, pianist, and composer. In his five-decade career Elton John has sold more than 300 million records, making him the fourth-best-selling music artist worldwide. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits, including seven consecutive No. 1 US albums, 58 Billboard Top 40 singles, 27 Top 10, four No. 2 and nine No. 1. For 31 consecutive years from 1970 to 2000, he had at least one song in the Billboard Hot 100.
