Est. $3,500-$4,000 S.T. Dupont Limited Edition Picasso Table Lighter #271/500 in Original Box W/Authenticity Card From a Vietnamese Royal Family - This handsome table lighter is an incredibly rare, limited edition table lighter created by S.T. Dupont. This Picasso edition lighter was created in 1998, and has a heavy 23k gold plating and a highly polished black Chinese lacquer. The lighter features a "Faune" on the front of the piece, a work which was created by Picasso for a friend in 1962, and was never exhibited. It was at this time that Picasso was making metal sculptures, and he engraved this "Faune" on the Chinese lacquer of a lighter that belonged to the brother of the owner of the studio where he was working. This limited edition lighter by S.T. Dupont features an exact copy of the artist's engraving. This lighter is numbered 271/500, and is marked with the Picasso copyright issued by the Picasso trustees. The lighter is in good condition, and was a store display so it has only been used for display purposes. The lighter will come in the original box with papers and authenticity card. This piece comes from the estate of a Vietnamese Royal Family (the family now lives in the United States, and wishes to remain private). This is truly a must have in any fine lighter collection. Measures: 4"L x 2.75"W x 1"D
