Est. $12,500-$13,250 Masriera 0.25ctw VVS1-VVS2/F-G Diamond, Solid 18K Yellow Gold & Plique-a-Jour Enamel "Awakening" 1.25" Pendant/Brooch on 20" Chain in Box W/Display Frame & COA - This magnificent work of art was finely crafted of solid 18k yellow gold, by the master artisans of renowned jeweler Masriera. This piece is titled "Awakening" and is from Masriera's Nymph collection. The pendant is convertible, and can also be worn as a brooch with a single straight pin on the back of the piece. The pendant measures approx. 1.25" in diameter, and depicts a sleepy nymph who appears to have just awoken. The pendant is elaborately decorated with a stunning plique-a-jour enamel, and finished with approx. 0.25ctw genuine VVS1-VVS2/F-G round-cut diamond accents. The piece has a lovely matte gold finish, and a very heavy and luxurious feel. The pendant hangs from a 20" solid 18k yellow gold chain, and is in beautiful condition. The necklace will come with a certificate of authenticity, as well as with a gilt gold display frame to display the piece in a manner that the true work of art should be displayed. The back of the piece is signed "Masriera", along with the gold purity and serial number. Louis Masriera began making dramatic enamel and gold jewelry in Barcelona at the very beginning of the Art Nouveau movement. His first bold designs premiered in 1839 in the front window of his family's jewelry store, and was a great success.ÿHis family still carries on the enamel technique and tradition today. These stunning original Art Nouveau designs have been hand made in Spain, in uninterrupted production for the last 174 years, and each Masriera jewel is a masterwork of design and technique.
