This Officer_s Calatrava watch was made to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Patek Philippe, and is one of only 50 ever made. Prior to 1989, Patek Philippe never ventured towards a military style model, but this changed in 1989 with the first-ever Officer_s Calatrava Watch. This model (Ref. 3960) really stood out in the Calatrava line with screwed-in bars between the lugs instead of a springbar, a fancy crown, classy Breguet numerals and hands on a clean white dial, and the hinged caseback which called to mind classic pocket watches from the company_s heritage. The stunning watch features: distinctive Officer's 33mm three part case constructed of solid platinum, snap-on caseback with engraved inscription protected by hinged dustcover, _Turban_ style crown, Swiss handmade 18 jewel/215 calibre manual wind movement, porcelain white dial with black Breguet figures and subsidiary seconds subdial at 6 o_clock, original steel "Breguets" hands, original sapphire crystal, water resistance up to 2.5 atm, and Patek Philippe brown alligator band with solid platinum buckle. The watch is in beautiful condition, and will come in a wooden display box. The watch will also come with archival paperwork from Patek Philippe with embossed seal.
