Est. $9,000-$10,000 Chanel Boutique 1998 Spring/Summer Lesage White Linen Sequined Long Jacket & Dress - This beautiful ensemble made its debut as part of the Chanel Boutique Spring/Summer 1998 collection. This is the untimate summer ensemble, constructed of 100% white linen. The ensemble includes an ankle length dress and 3/4 length jacket. The sequins made of the same white linen are embroidered with white thread, outlining the entire jacket including the pockets, and and repeated on the dress at the neck, on bodice, at waist, at waist and at hem-all both on the front and back. This Lesage embroidery would have taken many hours of hand sewn work, and is truly stunning. The Maison Lesage embroidery house has been stitching up lush, richly detailed fabric pieces for couturier like Balenciaga, Dior, and Schiaparelli since the inception of haute couture in the mid-1800s, and became part of Chanel’s Métiers d’art in 2002. Marked size: 40. Made in France.
