Est. $40,000-$45,000 2.18ct GIA Certified Oval-Cut Alexandrite in 1.00ctw VS1-VS2/G-H Diamond & Solid Platinum Band (W/$45,000 Appraisal From Royal Family)- This stunning ring was finely crafted of solid platinum, and boasts a beautiful, GIA certified genuine 2.18ct oval-cut alexandrite. Alexandrite is an extremely rare gemstone with pleochroic (color-changing) properties when viewed from different directions. The most beautiful alexandrites also change color from daylight or flourescent light to incandescent light due to its unusual light-absorbing properties. This beautiful gemstone gemstone appears to have a 75-90% green to reddish brown color shift, and due to its amazing color and larger size (most Alexandrites are less than 1.00ct), this stone alone could retail for approx. $17,000 per carat. The alexandrite is set in a solid platinum ring, which is embellished with approx. 1.00ctw genuine VS1-VS2/G-H diamonds which create the table of the ring and line the shoulders of the piece. This piece came from a Royal Family of Vietnam's estate. The family now lives in California, and wishes to remain private, as they still have family members that live in Vietnam. This piece comes with a $45,000 insurance appraisal that will arrive in the winning bidder's name. Ring size: 5.5. (WEIGHT: 6.2 grams) All items in this auction are available for public preview and inspection on 12/1/2017 at Beverly Hills Design Institute 8484 Wilshire Blvd. #730 Beverly Hills, CA 90211, between the hours of 10 am to 6 pm.
