Est. $18,000-$20,000 Whitney Houston's 2-Piece Red Embroidered Pant Suit W/Beaded & Sequined Details - This stunning two piece pant suit was once owned and worn by Whitney Houston. This suit was originally acquired from the Nippy, Inc (Whitney Houston's company) unpaid storage unit auction conducted by AJ Willner Auctions in New Jersey in 2007. The suit is a vibrant red color, and is decorated with a magnificent floral embroidery. The suit is then finished with a gorgeous bead and sequin detailing on the lower half of the jacket and sleeves, which finishes the piece beautifully and truly sets it apart from any pant suit we have ever seen. There is no label present, as celebrities would often cut out the labels so that the piece would be more difficult to be attributed to them. This is a gorgeous piece of music memorabilia that truly belongs in a museum, or in a private collection. Born on August 9, 1963 in Newark, New Jersey, Whitney Houston almost seemed destined from birth to become a singer. Her mother Cissy Houston, cousin Dionne Warwick and godmother Aretha Franklin were all legendary figures in American gospel, soul and pop music, and were great inspirations for Whitney's music. She began singing in the choir at her church, The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, as a young child and by the age of 15 was singing backing vocals professionally with her mother on Chaka Khan's 1978 hit, 'I'm Every Woman'. She went on to provide backing vocals for Lou Rawls, Jermaine Jackson and her own mother and worked briefly as a model, appearing on the cover of 'Seventeen' magazine in 1981. Her career was honored with 2 Emmy awards, 6 People's Choice awards, 6 Grammy awards and 22 American Music Awards, just to name a few. Her music will live on for generations, and she will forever be a music industry icon, and the Queen of Pop. Whitney Houston tragically passed away in 2012, and her death was followed by the then tragic passing of her only child in 2015.
