Est. $10,000-$12,000 Marilyn Monroe's Personally Owned Copy of "Forever Young Forever Healthy" W/Hand Written Notations (Gift From Paula Strasberg) - This book came from the personal library of Marilyn Monroe. The book is titled "Forever Young Forever Healthy", and was a gift to Marilyn from her close friend and acting coach Paula Strasberg. Paula signed her name on the inside of the book on the front page, and after receiving the book, Marilyn also wrote her initials in the top right hand corner. Inside of the book Marilyn dog-eared a page marking the "Where Yoga Comes In" section, as well as marked a passage in the "Posture" section. Also inside of the book is a typed note card with "Lee Strasberg's Relaxation Exercise", as Lee Strasberg was Marilyn's acting mentor, of whom Paula Strasberg was the second wife. The book is in beautiful condition for being over 50 years old, and still has all of the pages intact with no tears or creasing. This book was acquired from Christie's "Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe" auction in 1999. This is an excellent investment piece, as Marilyn Monroe is one of the most sought after celebrities in the world of celebrity property and entertainment memorabilia collecting. The value of Marilyn Monroe's personal property continues to steadily increase and break auction records. This is truly a special piece, as it is a little known fact that Marilyn was an avid reader, and had a personal library consisting of over 400 books. Although Marilyn had a personal of a "dumb blonde" which made her famous, a scan through the titles in her library reveals that that was hardly the case. She had an extensive collection of Psychology related books, as well as great literary works, including "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison, "Ulysses" by James Joyce, and "Crime And Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky.
