Est. $3,500-$4,500 Betty Ford Personally Owned Custom Made Camp David Jacket - This custom made jacket was worn by Former First Lady Betty Ford, while at Camp David with President Gerald Ford. The jacket bears a full color Presidential Seal patch with ''Camp David'' sewn to the chest. Inside, a label is printed in blue, which reads ''First Lady''. The jacket is a "Peters All-Weather Sportswear" zip up polyester and cotton blend, with eggplant purple lined sleeves, and a leather zipper pull decoration with brand name lettering. Size: 38. The jacket is in excellent condition, and looks as though it has hardly been worn. This a one-of-a-kind historical artifact, which was among Mrs. Ford's personal belongings from the official Ford Family Estate auction of the contents of hers and President Ford's luxurious home in Rancho Mirage, California. The mate to this, President Ford's Camp David jacket, was last sold at a Nate Sanders auction in 2013 for $8,711. This a very valuable Presidential collectible with historical significance and great prestige. Betty Ford was First Lady of the United States from 1974 to 1977, as the wife of the 38th President of the United States, Gerald R. Ford. Camp David is the Presidential retreat located in the Catcin Mountains in Maryland, where Gerald Ford often rode his snowmobile, and hosted Indonesian President Suharto there.
