Est. $10,000-$10,500 Carrera y Carrera Solid 18K Yellow Gold Limited Edition 1" Eagle Earrings W/VVS Diamond & Ruby Accents - These stunning earrings were finely crafted by Carrera y Carrera, of solid 18k yellow gold. The earrings have a beautiful, eagle head design, and show stunning attention to detail. The earrings are embellished with approx. 0.50ctw genuine VVS1-VVS2/F-G diamonds which are fiery white, and stunningly eye clean. The earrings are also finished with genuine ruby eyes, which finish the piece beautifully. The earrings measure approx. 1" in diameter, and are signed with the Carrera y Carrera hallmark, gold purity, and unique serial number. These earrings were from a limited edition collection, which is no longer in production. These retired designer pieces have proven to become the best quality investment pieces, as they are incredibly difficult to find, and highly sought after by collectors around the globe. The earrings are finished with secure, French clip backs and are in beautiful condition. Carrera y Carrera is an icon of gold craftsmanship and jewelry artisanship, and creates each piece in its workshops as if it were a small work of art. Each piece is meticulously crafted, in a series of labor intensive steps. The piece is first sketched by the designer, and is then sculpted by the hands of expert modelers, from a block of hard wax, and then the master prototype is created in silver once it has reached the optimal design. The piece is then transformed into gold using the traditional lost wax casting method, and is then finished by master jewelers who painstakingly choose the gems and set them into the piece. The final touch, and Carrera y Carrera's trademark, is the matte-gloss finish, which allows a greater appreciation of the details of these small sculptures.
