Elsa Peretti 1" Suspended Nephrite Perfume Bottle Pendant on Solid 18K Yellow Gold 28" Necklace W/Designer & Tiffany Scratch Marks in Tiffany Pouch & Box *RARE* - This beautiful necklace was designed by Elsa Peretti, and made by Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti joined Tiffany in 1974, and her organic, sensual forms revolutionized jewelry design and seduced the world. Her revolutionary designs allow us to see everyday objects, such as a bean, apple, or snake, in intriguing new ways. She is credited with giving sterling silver its pride of place in jewelry design and creating diamond jewelry that is wearable every day. The necklace measures 28" long and is made of solid 18k yellow gold. The piece is then finished with a 1" suspended 18k yellow gold and nephrite "claw" pendant that doubles as a perfume bottle, as there is a hinged lid that opens up to reveal an opening to fill the piece with your favorite perfume. Both the pendant and toggle clasp are stamped "Tiffany & Co.", "Elsa Peretti", and "18kt", and the toggle clasp also has designer scratch marks. These scratch marks suggest that this particular style was a very limited edition, custom made piece of which there were probably only a very few made. The necklace is in excellent condition, and will come in a Tiffany & Co. pouch and box. These rare vintage, and extremely limited edition pieces have proven to become the best quality investment pieces, as they are incredibly difficult to find, and highly sought after by collectors around the globe.
