Est. $100,000-$150,000 Karl Faberge Carved Citrine & Amethyst Trillium Flower Study W/Mine Cut Diamonds & 84 Silver Stem in Rock Crystal Vase in Leather Casket - This magnificent piece is a hand carved citrine and amethyst Trillium flower study by Karl Faberge. The three petals are made of carved citrine, and the center of the flower is carved amethyst, finished with solid 84 silver (pre-revolution Russian standard for silver) pistil. The pistil is embellished with approx. 0.25ctw genuine mine cut diamond accents, which finish the piece beautifully. The stem is also made of solid 84 silver, and the flower is mounted into a rock crystal vase. There are only 80 known surviving examples of fruit and flower studies by Faberge, and they rarely come to market. A similar piece sold at auction in 2013 for over $550,000 USD. The piece bears the hallmarks "KF" (in Cyrillic) and "84" Russian silver standard (St. Petersburg 1908-1917) at the base of the stem, inside the vase. The piece measures approx. 4.5"H x 3"W, and will come housed in a leather casket. Please note: the piece has been repaired on three of the petals. Please see photos.
