Est. $35,000-$38,500 Boucheron 4.00ctw Pink Sapphire 18K Blackened Gold "Cup" Ring W/2.00ct Ruby Solitaire Designed by Solange Azagury-Partridge in Boucheron Gift Box - This magnificent piece was finely crafted by Boucheron, and was designed by world renowned designer Solange Azagury-Partridge. This is an extremely rare piece, as Solange Azagury-Partridge was the creative director at Boucheron for only three years, and we cannot find another ring of this type anywhere in today's market. The ring was finely crafted of solid 18k white gold, and was then finished with a blackened finish. The ring has a cup-shaped gallery which is intricately set with 4.00ctw (approximate) genuine pave-set pink sapphires. The sapphires also line the entire outer perimeter of the band, as well as the entire way around the north and south sides of the band. The top of the gallery is set with a gorgeous, 2.00ct (approximate) genuine near flawless ruby, which is accented by four collet-set 0.10ct pink sapphire accents. A similar ring of this type was sold at Christie's Geneva auction in 2010, and sold for over $21,900 USD. Solange Azagury-Partridge has had several of her jewelry designs in Paris’s Musée du Louvre, and her Hotlips and Supernature rings are in the collection of The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In 2003 she was the only fashion and accessories creator nominated for the Designer of the Year award by London’s Design Museum. The piece is signed with hallmarks for Boucheron, along with the French Eagle Head assay mark, maker's mark, gold purity, and unique serial number. The piece is in stunning condition, and looks as though it has hardly been worn. The ring will come housed in an Eggplant purple Boucheron gift box. Ring size: 6. (WEIGHT: 8.9 grams). This piece will come with a $38,500 insurance appraisal in the winning bidder's name. Please note: there will be a two week delay on the appraisal, as we have it prepared by a third party GIA graduated gemologist. The item will be mailed first, and the appraisal will follow within two weeks.
