Est. $1,800,000-$2,000,000 "Artemision Bronze Poseidon or Zeus" Limited Edition Life-Size Bronze Sculpture by Ferdinando Marinelli Foundry Numbered 8/24 Cast From the Ancient "Artemision Bronze" Sculpture Located in the Athens Archeological Museum (Owned by James Bond Actress Luciana Paluzzi) W/COA & $2 Million Appraisal - This stunning piece is a larger than life-size, cast bronze sculpture depicting the Greek god Zeus or Poseidon. "The Artemision Bronze" (often called the God from the Sea) is an ancient Greek sculpture that was recovered from the sea off Cape Artemision, in northern Euboea in 1926. It is argued whether the piece represents either Zeus or Poseidon, as the attribute held in the figure's right hand was never discovered. The figure would have held either a thunderbolt, if Zeus, or a trident if Poseidon. The sculptor is unknown, and the piece is a highlight of the collections in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. This sculpture is an exact replica, cast using the lost wax casting method, from the original master mold created in 1932 by the Fonderia Marinelli of Italy, with the authorization of the Athens Archaeological Museum. The scuplture was produced by Fonderia Marinelli, Italy, is numbered 8 in a limited edition of 24, and will come with a certificate of authenticity. This piece will also come with an appraisal for $2 Million and a certificate of authenticity. The sculpture is in beautiful condition, and measures approx. 82.25"H x 82.5"W x 14"D. This magnificent piece is currently owned by Italian American actress Luciana Paluzzi, who is known for playing SPECTRE assassin Fiona Volpe in the fourth James Bond film, "Thunderball".
