The piece depicts the solid obsidian snail hoisted on a solid nephrite leaf. This piece has the most intricate attention to detail that we have seen ever seen an a Faberge animal figurine piece, and we have never seen a K. Faberge paperweight. The piece also comes in a custom made to fit Faberge casket. This piece has very fine incised details that flawlessly scale the figurine, and adorn the leaf. This is among the highest investment quality pieces that you can find in today's market, as their values continue to climb each year. Faberge is best known for their enamel, silver and gold works. However, there were also a few masters that specialized in animal figurines made of various types of hard stone. This piece is very rare, as most of the Faberge pieces found in today's market are examples of his "mini" works.
