The necklace contains a 1.5" pendant, with a carved white opaline agate cameo mounted on an onyx slate background. The pendant is adorned with ornate granulation, with gold beads fused to the surface of the piece creating a decorative pattern. The amount of precision, skill and patience it requires makes this one of the most labor-intensive jewelry techniques.
