When it was presented to her, she said it reminded her of her grandmother. The piece is made of solid silver, has 41.88ctw genuine African Opal, 2.50ctw genuine VS/G-H diamonds and 141.00ctw of genuine Star Ruby. The quality of the materials used to make this piece are among the best we have ever seen. The opal has a magnificent play of color, and the diamonds are strategically set throughout the piece. The opals range from 5mm-11.5mm in diameter each, and the star rubies range from 7mm-11mm each. This massive piece was made for the grandaughter of the Empress of Vietnam, as she admired similar pieces on a runway, so a designer made this piece and the piece in the lot below just for her.
