Est. $7,000-$8,500 Karl Faberge (Romanov Dynasty Period) Faceted Ruby & Solid 84 Silver Brooch in Original Box - This piece is made of solid "84" silver (Pre-revolution standard for silver in Russia). This piece was made by Karl Faberge himself. There is a rose-cut, faceted genuine ruby that delicately finishes the piece. The piece is then finished with draped bands that fill in the face of the piece, itself. This is a unique piece, as it can be worn as a tie pin/tack, or a brooch. The pieces bear the markings "KF" (in Crylic). Karl Faberge is best known for his silver works, and this piece is thought to be one of his earliest works due to the age of the silver, the cut of the ruby and the simplicity of the piece. Of all Karl Faberge pieces, these period pieces are the most sought after, as they are the hardest to find. The piece comes in its original box. Measures: 2.25"L x 1/3"W.
