Russian Solid Silver & Gilt Gold Cigarette Case W/High Relief "Wall of Kremlin" Design & Cabochon Garnet Button - This fine piece is made of solid Russian silver and has a gilt gold interior, denoting an item of the highest quality. The case has a rounded, rectangular form, with a design of the Wall of Kremlin done in high relief. The case is finished with a cabochon garnet button, and shows spectacular attention to detail. The case was believed to be made in Moscow between 1927-1928, and bears the silver workmaster's mark of "MU" in Cyrillic and the 1927-1928 "875" mark for silver. The piece is in excellent condition, with no signs of damage or repairs, no signs of usage on the gilt interior, and strong hinge. Dimensions: 4.25" length x 3.35" width x 0.75" depth. (166 grams)
