The decanter is finished with a stopper in the form of a regal elephant, made of solid 84 silver and 56 gold, and embellished with vibrant red guilloche enamel. The elephant has genuine ruby eyes, 56 gold accents on the blanket, and a cabochon moonstone top surrounded by genuine diamond accents. He rests on a pedestal, with gorgeous cascading foliate details. This piece was most likely made for someone of nobility, and is a one of a kind piece. The piece is marked with "84" (the Russian silver standard for this period) and "Faberge "in cyrillic. The decanter measures 10" high. This piece is of the highest investment quality, and a modern day treasure. This spectacular, one of a kind piece truly belongs in a museum, as Karl Faberge was one of the finest work masters of gold, silver and enamel goods in world history.
